ADFS

What is ADFS?

It allows us to provide single sign on to an application, meaning that once you have signed into your work station, we can use the CLAIM that you have already been authenticated with third party application. So it sends the CLAIM to the WEB application in behalf of the AD, rather the send your actual credentials.

It help us support web services interoperability between the Vendors in the market…e.g. Office 365, Facebook etc.

How does ADFS work?

User Initially requests to login to the CLOUD resource-->>> CLOUD resource redirect them to the ADFS Server->>>

Then the user gets Authenticated against ADFS->>>ADFS check the Active directory->>> Then AD authenticate the user

In a CLAIM form of a cookie->> Then the Users request goes back to the CLOUD resource with the CLAIM---CLOUD resource accepts the CLAIM and log the user IN.

  1. Hey – great blog, just looking around some blogs, seems a really nice platform you are using. I’m currently using WordPress for a few of my blogs but looking to change one of them over to a platform similar to yours as a trial run. Anything in particular you would recommend about it? expired web 2.0
